Parramatta is one of the largest stations in the state and was recently renovated however the train services during peak hour are woeful. We have the oldest trains that stop at several stations and are full a long time before coming to Parramatta.
Surely it would be wise to have trains that originate from Parramatta. I fail to see how they can justify price hikes when I can't get a seat 9/10. Secondly trains should also originate at Wynard or Central heading west, not just the hornsby lines being redirected to strathfield.

Gladys, OK, lets introduce integrated ticketing by all means, but if patronage does increase were are the new trains and buses going to come from? Were are you going to get the money?

I'm heartened to hear you would improve public transport in the western suburbs but can you please explain something to me? If you give to go ahead to the NW and SW rail link how will you handle capacity? My understanding is that the current system is at full capacity so new trains would just slow the whole system down.

structure FOLLOWS strategy.
THERE IS A SINGLE SOLUTION to transport. Forget about politicians!
Get a team of transport experts together and charge them with preparing an INTEGRATED transport STRATEGY. Then listen to them. The name of the game is not shutting railways down. Peter Egan is right! Why are we wrecking Sydney when we could encourage immigrants to live in Regional Towns .
Murwillumbah major tourist potential-railway closed.
Bathurst-people commute to Sydney; NO TRAIN!
Coffs Harbour- station an utter disgrace.
Moss Vale-try taking a day trip! No direct train.
Blaney/Parkes-Tourist potential. Line closed. Can't shift wheat crop.
Is there a single politician who remotely understands the potential of railways in( regional) development or in tourism, not to mention the environment? The evidence in Europe is vast. What do you do when you go overseas? Look what is happening in London!
So there is a single solution for transport. But only one!
DEVELOP AN INTEGRATED TRANSPORT STRATEGY - then get the private sector to implement it.

Have you yet developed a plan for taking over Gov't?
Have you identified the issues and prioritised them?
Do you have a small team to drive the takeover?
I'm constantly asked what the Liberal Party stands for. What are it's core values. Nobody can find out here in the electorate! About 8 years ago the State President flashed them in front of me but she told me I couldn't read them because they were confidential. I thought I was in another universe! I immediately resigned from the Party if this was the level of stupidity responsible for running the Party. The rest is history as they say! But what a lost opportunity.

What is your commitment to restore the cancelled Clearways projects, eg Sydenham to Erskineville amplification, and the Metropolitan Rail Expansion Program, which are integral components of the North West and South West rail links to provide additional capacity through the Sydney CBD?
It would also help if I could print a copy of your Integrated Transport Strategy so that I can sit down and study it and make some meaningful comment.

The NSW Liberal & Nationals Coalition remain committed to a rail link to Sydney's North-West and South-West and linking infrastructure delivery to planning policy. In North West Sydney the population and traffic is increasing with more homes planned for construction and local business replying on a transport link to drive further investment.

a change is just what's needed back in October they promised services that would make catching trains more efficient. Catching the train from perith to parramatta now is a nightmare my commute takes me and hour whn it used to take me (and every other office drone) 40 mins further to that I must catch a train that get me there with 30 Mins to spare because if I catch the next train I'm really late! This is a waste of my precious time city rail. You chare us more to waste our time
if you guys are serious about a change for the better I wan a gurantee that train will run at more frequent intervals then they currently do. A proposition and what you want to do with our trains busses and ferrys would be excellent.
I know I'm not the only one that the current changes have affected (for better or worse)
seriously it can only get better
love from
fed up running to catch her train and paying more to do it
