Victoria Takes The Lead On Payroll Tax Cuts: NSW Liberals & Nationals Have Jobs Action Plan
The Victorian Government’s State Budget announcement to cut payroll tax highlights the Keneally Labor Government’s failure to do enough to keep NSW competitive, NSW Opposition Leader Barry O’Farrell and Shadow Treasurer Mike Baird said today.
The Victorian payroll tax rate will be 4.9% from July 1. In NSW the rate will be 5.5% on 1 January 2011.
“After 15 years of incompetent Labor Government in NSW, our state has lost its competitive edge,” Mr O’Farrell said.
Enough is Enough
Sometime past the workers of this state 'looked towards the light on the hill' and in our mining and industrial towns we followed the principle of that light. It has now been extinguished by fiasco after fiasco, particularly in NSW. They have reduced Law and Order leaving it to the thugs in the streets, our women are not safe if out after dark, our hospital system is fractured, our emergency service people are left in the balance by incompetent and care little Ministers.
Small business is throttled by the bureaucrats, and the Government just spins along.
Best Wishes for the future.
A strong economy
Rebuild the NSW economy through lower taxes and business growth
Unashamedly, our first priority for NSW is restoring economic growth and establishing NSW as the ‘first place to do business’.
The NSW Liberals & Nationals understand the importance of a strong economy:
- - as the driver of opportunity for individuals;
- - as the creator of jobs and wealth; and
- - as the source of revenue that government needs to provide services, tax cuts and infrastructure.
