Labor’s Failure To Deliver Adequate Patient Care: Minister Must Explain Cuts
Health Minister Carmel Tebbutt must explain why Easter staff cuts resulted in an operation to insert a feeding tube being delayed for eight days, Deputy NSW Opposition Leader and Shadow Minister for Health Jillian Skinner said today.
It was revealed in the Daily Telegraph that 83-year-old Max Miller went without food for eight days at Royal North Shore Hospital while waiting for a procedure to insert a feeding tube.
NSW Labor Turns Back On State’s 750,000 Carers
The State Labor Government today must support the NSW Liberals & Nationals Carers Recognition Bill 2010 scheduled for debate in the NSW Parliament, anything less represents Labor turning its back on the state’s 750,000 carers.
“The State Labor Government has had more than a week since the bill was introduced to publicly state its position on the NSW Liberals & Nationals Carers Recognition Bill 2010,” Mr Constance said.
Half-Hearted Labor Lip Service Is No Substitute For Real Consultation
